Due to plunging mail volume and rising costs, USPS lost\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2018\/11\/27\/money-bleeding-usps\">$4 billion<\/a>\u00a0last year and has\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/home.treasury.gov\/system\/files\/136\/USPS_A_Sustainable_Path_Forward_report_12-04-2018.pdf\">$130 billion<\/a>\u00a0in unfunded pension and health care obligations.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/home.treasury.gov\/system\/files\/136\/USPS_A_Sustainable_Path_Forward_report_12-04-2018.pdf\">74-page report<\/a>\u00a0was issued by the U.S. Treasury, which headed the Task Force on the United States Postal System.
